Experiencing winter in Europe for only the second time, and especially in The Netherlands, I was appalled at the lack of sunshine.  Even in the cold seasons in my home country the sun would always be out, basking the landscape in beautifully drab colours - but it made life feel bright, even in the cold.

 

The morning when I wrote this song the sun was out for the first time in months - and this song tries to relay what that felt like.
